Preface
Legal Awareness empowers people to demand justice, accountability, and effective remedies. It is imperative for them to be aware of the basic law of the country. Legal aid means free legal assistance to the poor persons who are not able to enforce their rights given to them by law in any judicial proceedings before the Court, Tribunals, or any authority. Legal Aid Cell is active in organizing guest lectures on legal aid and awareness for students, staff, and the general public. Its legal aid camps help in spreading awareness about basic rights and schemes for the poor and marginalized population of our society.
Aims & Objectives
- Â To help the poor and needy people who approach the Legal Aid Cell
- To conduct activities like spreading legal awareness and educating people on their basic rights through our faculty members and students
- To promote paralegal services in villages, slums, and other places where people do not have easy access to justice
- To promote a pro bono service culture and tradition.

Human Rights Cell
Human rights have implicit importance as they are considered indispensable for the survival of human beings. According to United Nations, Human Rights are rights inherent to all human beings, regardless of race, sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status. Human rights include the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to work and education, and many more. Everyone is entitled to these rights, without discrimination. Keeping these guidelines in the forefront, Aditya College of Law has Constituted the Human Rights Cell to raise awareness among students about the concept of Human Rights and its importance in today’s society.
Aims & Objectives
- To create awareness about human rights among the staff and students
- Â To foster personality development of students in order to lead a decent and dignified life without infringing the rights of others
- To create sensitivity and enhance the knowledge of human rights among the people in and around the institute by organizing various awareness programmes
- Â To respond against the violation of human right issues reported in the college by raising the voice in a proper platform and thereby facilitate to ensure the protection of human rights
- To conduct outreach programs/extension activities to inculcate a sense of responsibility in students towards implementing Human Rights
- To organize Guest Lectures and Seminars by eminent lawyers and social workers to empower and encourage the students to exercise their rights and responsibilities to the best of their abilities
- To focus not only on the issues of human rights but also into the rights of children, women, elderly and differently-abled
Intellectual Property Rights Cell
Intellectual Property protection is an important tool for fostering innovation. In absence of adequate intellectual property protection, creative activities and innovation may be hindered. Intellectual Property Rights Cell is established with the objective of contributing to the cause of fostering the innovation ecosystem and promoting the creation of intellectual property in the economy. The cell seeks to achieve the above-said objective by creating awareness on various forms of Intellectual Property Rights by organizing IPR awareness workshops, seminars, training programs. The cell also provides a platform for students of Intellectual Property Rights for their active engagement in activities of the cell to supplement classroom learning.

- To promote the study and research in various issues related to Intellectual Property Rights
- Â To provide Intellectual Property Rights awareness for teachers, research scholars and students
- Â To organize and conduct various workshops, training programs, Round Tables, and Conferences on various Intellectual Property Issues
- To provide legal aid and facilitate compliances relating to registration of various IP’s created by marginal communities / individuals
- Â To engage in awareness programs on various aspects of Intellectual Property Rights for general public and stakeholders to create IP aware community
- To contribute to the policies, law, and practices relating to Intellectual Property Rights
-  To develop an enduring collaborative relationship with various Governmental Organizations involved in promotion of various IP’s to provide a platform for deliberation and discussion on intellectual property and policy.
Women cell
The principle of gender equality is enshrined in the Indian Constitution in its Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties, and Directive Principles. The Constitution not only grants equality to women but also empowers the State to adopt measures of positive discrimination in favor of women. Empowerment is the degree of autonomy and self-determination in people and communities. This enables them to represent their interests in a responsible and self-determined way, acting on their authority. Women’s security, decision-making power, and mobility are three indicators of women’s empowerment. With a view to maintain and strengthen the status of women, the Women’s Cell was constituted. The Cell plays an important role in voicing opinions on important matters that affect the daily life of girl students. The Cell provides a platform, where students can comfortably participate and share their views. It is also responsible for actively promoting gender equality among students
