Center for Child Rights - Cradle
CRADLE (Child Rights Advocacy, Development, Law and Education) – CENTRE FOR CHILD RIGHTS
CRADLE- Centre for Child Rights is established to promote the study and research in various issues related to child rights. It conducts awareness programs;capacity-building workshops and engages in child rights advocacy. An enduring collaborative relationship is developed with various NGOs and governmental organizations involved in child rights advocacy to deliberate and discuss child rights and policy. The Centre is also involved in support activities for the children in need. Awareness programs are conducted in various schools, colleges, etc. regarding the rights of children.
Mediation Center
Mediation is a voluntary collaborative process where individuals having conflict with one another can identify issues, develop options, consider alternatives and develop a consensual agreement. Trained mediators will facilitate open communication to resolve differences in a non-adversarial and confidential manner. Mediation should be considered when prior attempts at resolving conflicts have failed or when people need third party assistance in resolving their issues. It is an alternative for filing formal cases.
Mediation usually succeeds because it’s efficient, effective, confidential, and empowering the parties to resolve their conflict which helps them to preserve their relationships. The Mediation Centre is a forum that promotes taking responsibility for one’s affairs and helps participants to develop critical life skills by modeling cooperative means of resolving disputes. Mediation provides a platform to build a cordial relationship with local community members, police, landlords, and neighborhood associations.
Aims and Objectives
- To resolve disputes without resorting to litigation or other adversarial modes of dealing with conflict
- To reach a “win-win” solution which will be acceptable to both sides
- To promote better understanding between parties
- To provide cost effective medium to resolve disputes
- To address the issues related to parent-child, family disputes, business & organizational disputes, environmental conflicts, community/neighbourhood conflicts, and victim-offender mediation and many more
- To adopts mechanisms like negotiation skills, communication skills, conflict analysis techniques and many more
Consumer Law Advocacy And Research Center (CLARC)
Consumers are the lifeblood of every organization. There can be no business without a consumer. Unlike the traditional markets which were product-oriented, the modern market is customer or consumer-oriented. However, businesses sometimes fail to realize it and in their hunt for profit, end up harming the interests of the consumers. The Government of India under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 has granted certain rights to consumers against exploitation. As citizens, it is our duty to be aware of these rights but as a law school, it is our job not to merely be aware of our rights but also to spread awareness, to help people realize their rights and to bridge the gap between the general public and the appropriate authorities. Keeping that in mind, The Consumer Law, Advocacy and Research Centre [CLARC] was established by Aditya College of Law with the assistance of CREAT ( permission has be needed).
The primary objective of CLARC is to help the students and faculty to understand the emerging trends in the field of consumer protection. It seeks to achieve this objective through conducting independent research, field studies, and dissemination of information, publications, organizing seminars and workshops. It also intends to widen its network by involving other stakeholders and the general public.
The Consumer Law, Advocacy, and Research Centre is a wing with a multi-dimensional purpose, to serve the general public by creating awareness about their rights as a consumer and the government initiatives. It also has objectives to provide legal advice, to assist government agencies to ensure their initiatives are reaching the public, help students as budding future lawyers to gain some field exposure and some hands-on experience, sensitizing students about the issues faced by consumers daily and provide the students with practical exposure regarding the operations of the Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To spread awareness among the general public regarding their rights as consumer through
- Organizing walkathons.
- Preparing posters and pamphlets.
- To visit schools and colleges to create awareness among students about their rights as consumers
- To provide legal advice to consumers
- To organize conferences, lectures and workshops on issues and challenges related to consumer law
- To conduct certificate course including field work
Youth Red Cross (YRC)
Youth represent a substantial part of the membership of the Red Cross for its humanitarian commitment. Young volunteers can make a significant contribution to meeting the needs of the most vulnerable people within their local communities through the Red Cross Youth programs, that actively involve the youth, not only as workers and beneficiaries but as partners in management.
The Youth Red Cross of Aditya College of Law imbibes service-mindedness among students and trains them to disseminate and practice the seven fundamental principles of Red Cross Society, HUMANITY, IMPARTIALITY, NEUTRALITY, INDEPENDENCE, VOLUNTARY SERVICE, UNITY, and UNIVERSALITY.

Debate Society
Debate Society is a platform where students are trained and honed for debating, public speaking, and other eloquence skills. Debating skills are of paramount importance for individuals aspiring to be in the legal profession.
Aims and Objectives
- To invoke the spirit of inquiry and promote critical thinking among students
- To enable students to frame persuasive arguments and to communicate it effectively
- To strengthen democratic values in students by facilitating debates on various current issues
- To enhance students research and analytical skills
- To expose students to multifaceted and interdisciplinary knowledge outside normal academic subjects
- To organize and conduct workshops on various forms of debating, Inter-class debate competitions and regular practice sessions among students to equip them for various debate competitions
Moot Court Society
Aditya College of Law Moot Court Society is a student run society under the guidance of faculty co-coordinators, which seeks to channelize the students on the mooting path. The Moot Court Committee at the Aditya College of Law embodies the indefeasible passion for mooting that the Institute cherishes as its own. Apart from maintaining a strong internal mooting structure, the Committee has been entrusted with the responsibility of hosting annually, Aditya College of Law Moot Court Society is a team of dedicated students who continuously work towards achieving new heights in the mooting arena.
The primary goal of the Moot Court Society is to provide all the students the opportunities to harbour research, oral advocacy and legal drafting skills and other essential prowess to mould an individual into an adept mooter. The Committee has also undertaken to educate the fresher batch every year regarding the nuances of mooting, conducting at the start of the year a detailed orientation programme and at the end of their first semester, a competitive Aditya College of Law Intra Moot Court Competition.
The Moot Court Society doesn’t just limit itself to Intra-College activities it also indulges itself in various Inter-College competitions. Aditya College of Law students have taken part in many various Moot Court Competitions hosted by many law colleges. Teams of Aditya College of Law have a long tradition of excellence and their talent has succeeded in many Moot Court Competitions in India.
Rules & Regulations
- Aditya College of Law “Moot Court Society” shall be the official body of the Aditya College of Law in all matters concerning moot courts.
- The main purpose of Moot Court Society shall be to put in place a proper framework in selecting and training the participants for various National and International moot courts to represent the Aditya College of Law.
- The Moot Court Society shall also organize various intra college, inter college moot courts, client counselling and other legal competitions hosted by the Aditya College of Law.
- The Moot Court Society shall strive to conduct all its affairs in a completely transparent and unbiased manner. It shall endeavour to contribute positively to bring more laurels to Aditya College of Law going forward.
